Slovenia has been independent for twenty years. We stood as one in December cold and caught the right wind in our sails in the June heat. The multiparty system has brought us several governments, many politicians and thousands people-friendly promises. We entered Europe without borders, changed currency, rose higher and higher in our desires and successes. Here is a crisis of the world and values which has already taken its toll. It is grabbing for people and their honesty, many “wolves” are hiding in “sheep’s clothing”. The biggest achievement will be if we win ourselves, if good prevails within us, if we help those less well off and less fortunate than us, if we don’t fight over “donkey’s shadow”. The country has come of age. It is time to leave behind childhood diseases and whims of puberty and live a life of a responsible and honest adult. Adopt zero tolerance to any kind of violence. Good luck, Slovenia.
