It is an intimate thought perhaps not the best suited for public consumption – I often get the feeling that I get to live in the best of times in the kindest corner of the Earth.

I was ten when the man stepped on the Moon and only a decade later IBM produced the first PC. People’s lives became dynamic as never before and the perspective of individuals has excitingly expanded in a globalised world.

My youth was also marked by efforts for democratisation of society and dreams of independent country. The desires came true at a right time for me and I see Slovenia today as one of the safest and kindest countries. I highly prize such feelings so of course I’ll knock on wood. Yes, I want us to be even better off here and now but not being worse will do.
